This year’s championship is extra special, we have opened participation to all YMCA swim teams across the State of Georgia. We look forward to welcoming swimmers, families, and volunteers for a memorable and competitive event.

This championship meet will be divided into two sessions:

⚠️ Important Facility & Deck Policies

To ensure a safe and efficient meet, please review the following procedures carefully:

• No parents will be allowed on the pool deck, except for approved and registered volunteers.
• Each team will have designated parent volunteers, if you wish to be on deck with your swimmer, you must communicate with your Aquatics Director about being a team parent volunteer.
• Only swimmers age 18 and under may use the wet locker rooms connected to the pool deck.
• Swimmers must enter the pool deck using the stairs near the large scoreboard inside the aquatics facility.
• At the conclusion of the meet, swimmers will be escorted by volunteers to the back stairwell and dismissed to parents at the top of the stairs. Parents should wait at the end of the main hallway where volunteers will be present to assist.

Please note: Pool deck space is limited. Swimmers should bring only one small bag containing essentials such as:

• Towel
• Water bottle
• Goggles
• Snacks

We will NOT have access to concessions so please plan accordingly as last year the vending machines ran out of snacks very early in the day.

We cannot host a successful meet without the support of our volunteers!
Each YMCA branch is responsible for filling assigned volunteer roles.

• Volunteers are expected to remain in their role until the conclusion of the designated shift.

Event Entry Info: All swimmers must sign up for at least 3 events per day.  The maximum is 4 individual events per day.  Any swimmers entered with “SCM,” or “LCM” qualifying time will be seeded below all swimmers with qualifying SCY times (YSL order). Bonus times will be seeded below qualified times in the same order. Bonus swims: Swimmers who have qualified for an event in any session may swim three bonus events during the meet, in the 50y, 100y or 200y events (the 500 yard free cannot be a bonus swim option). Bonus swims can be used on any day.  Coaches have final authority to choose events for swimmers that best align with the team and the swimmer's personal growth.

This will be a virtual meet against Alpharetta Stings

Fins Arrive at: 3:45 pm.  Warm-up at 4 pm. 

Meet start at 4:30pm

Before you arrive at the YMCA:

• The heat sheet with events and lanes will be emailed to the team Friday night.  Please print your own copy at home to follow the events at the meet.
• Mark your swimmer with his/her name on their back shoulder and their Events/Heats/Lanes on their arm. A Sharpie marker works best. If you have never marked your swimmer, please refer to the picture below with instructions.
• 

When you arrive at the YMCA:

• Check in your swimmer at the check-in table. The table will be located outside the gym at the bottom of the stairs. Volunteers will also check-in at the table and get their name tag.
• Direct your swimmer to the basketball gym to set up where they want to sit and get ready for warm-ups.

What to bring:

• Swimmers and families should bring folding chairs, blankets, towels, etc. to sit on in the gym.
• Extra towels - for sitting on and drying off with. I would also recommend bringing a sweatshirt, blanket, parka, etc.
• Swimmers should bring drinks and snacks and anything they want to entertain themselves with during the meet - books, cards, games, etc.

Other Meet Guidelines

• All swimmers MUST sit in the basketball gym. This is where the swimmers' names will be called for lining up for events. The Bullpen parents will not call names outside the gym or go looking for swimmers. Swimmers may NOT sit with families outside of the gym. Families ARE welcome to sit in the gym.
• When it is your swimmer's event, you are welcome to walk onto the pool deck to watch his/her event. Please exit the pool deck when your swimmer's event is over.
